THE 80’s ARE BACK

As we age, we continue to find ourselves. From our music taste to our ever-changing finicky palettes, there is constant change. Though fashion is always evolving, there is currently a movement which is recycling looks from decades past and making them new and trendy again. There’s an obvious cycle. This is good news for those of us who’ve hoarded our entire wardrobe from our teens.

We all love a good off the shoulder top, even a dress here and there, but we all know this isn’t a new thing. The 80’s was the time where icons like Madonna and Molly Ringwald among others, debuted this look. So, if you’re holding onto one of these gems from back then, it’s time to dust it off and pair it with jeans for a casual everyday look. You may be used to wearing it with your athletic wear, but trust me, you won’t be the only one.

Next, we have the resurrection of shoulder pads and oversized blazers with big lapels. As fall is approaching, we are seeing the rise in popularity of these items. The large shoulders give women a prominent presence and a powerful silhouette. Whether we like it or not, they’re going to be back on the streets, so best get back on the bandwagon or you’ll be left out.
