Happy New Year! With 2020 gone and 2021 upon us, let’s take the time to reflect on the year we have just had and let’s set some new goals for the year to come. So sit down, get a pen and a pad of paper, and write down all of the things you’ve learned in 2020 and what you want to get out of 2021. Think about how you want 2021 to look, feel, and even smell. Think about all of the things you want to accomplish, all of the places you want to travel and all of the things you want to see. Put thoughts of peace, joy and happiness for the new year into the universe. You will attract the energy that you put out there. Here are just a few of my goals for the new year:
- Family time. We’ve just had a rough year. Hopefully, sometime soon, we will be able to gather again. When this happens, this will be my #1 priority.
- Meditate. It’s a great way to calm your busy mind if you’re feeling stressed or anxious. Take some much-needed and much-deserved time for yourself. I promise you will see a difference.
- Exercise. This is by far the most cliché new year’s resolution on this list, but it’s so important. The gyms being closed has everyone a little bit discouraged, but there are so many quick and easy at-home alternatives that get the job done!
- Be a good friend. We all do our part to be the best friend we can be. It is now more important than ever to check in on the people you care about. Send them a quick message or deliver them their favorite snack or flowers. Anything, big or small, that you can do to brighten up their day counts.
- Take care of your spirit. Do your makeup, or don’t. Whatever makes you feel good. Watch the sunset. Read the book that’s been on your mind for a while. Recharge.
